Well it didn't take long and we were once again in the Peugeot doing 130kph. The 630 km trip to Soulan in the Pyrenees would go quick at this pace, so would our coins. Those nasty toll machines seemed to be getting more greedy by the kilometer.
These next couple of nights hadn't been pre-booked, so the planned (or not so planned) intention was to "wing" it.

Leaving Canfranc Estacion after morning tea and toast with cereal for energy! On the 8:50 bus to Somport I go! My Pilgrimage starts @ 1640m then downward I go from the mountain pass. The campsite was damp and sandy - not an ideal combination. The decision was to wander slowly to the Pyrenees south of Toulouse where we could hope for more consistent weather.
