... dishes. Then a nice chicken/vegetable/potato soup. Next, tried little octopus in a sauce - they were not chewy at all, very good. And then beef and chicken that were so moist and tender. Ate way too much, but the variety and flavors were so good. The dessert was fruit which included fresh figs and grapes (looked like blueberries). ... off, I pulled off again, but the noise started. It got worse and wasn’t something to be ignored, so I pulled over once again and called the breakdown company.

While I waited for the breakdown company to turn up, I even had the luck to be chatted up be an Italian who declared his undying love for me, despite the fact that he was married!

Day 264 2 hrs, 4.3 kms I figure I'll make one more stop before my next big destination of Livorno. So I hop off the train in the town of San Vicenzo and find... another beach town. This one does have bit more density to it, with a boardwalk and pedestrian street near the sea, and residential neighborhood up into the hills--probably mostly summer homes... Let's move ...
