Steph managed it really well too although she said afterward that she was freaking out inside but ...

We wandered a bit and then decided only 'mad dogs and English men' are stupid enough to wander about at lunchtime so we stopped at an outdoor terrace bar and had 'due bicchieri di vino bianco'. Foxes & Corries - you would of been proud of us just chilling for a bit and not going at a hundred miles an hour trying to fit in as much as possible! (We did have to ...

... going and going, winding down the mountain. The emergency run off ramps (with lots of tyre marks to show regular use) added to the tension, and with 3 Tons of Truck and Caravan I could smell the brakes were getting very hot. I pulled off into a large parking area half way down to give the car a rest and we had some quick lunch (finished off Ben's Gouda Cheese from Amsterdam).
