... served to us by a very grumpy waitress, by the river. We gave her our bronze change as a tip- good way to get rid of it. Wasps were a constant threat throughout the meal, a few knocked over chairs and screams as the wasps flew near our meals. All tired when we got back and so ready to jump in the lake. ... and I tried the traditional cream cake which is number 1 on the 'must do at lake bled' list. Give it 2.5/5 At 2pm we were back outside waiting for our transport to white water rafting. Our driver was a bit late, and didn't make up for it with his driving skills. All slightly traumatised by the drive even with the amazing views we got ready for rafting. Got back into wetsuits and wet shoes and a very odd shaped helmet. The outfit was even more flattering for Lucy ...

... water! However after a lot of walking through fallen leaves and dense forest our track came to an abrupt end and we realised that we had taken a slightly wrong turn! After the slight hour detour (!), we made it back on track, up the right side of the river and eventually reached the Slap we were looking for - a tiring find but worth the effort! With some light still left, we powered home, hoping to stop in at Ribcev Laz ...
