This morning we left the picturesque Plitvice and Croatia behind us to head to Slovenia. Our stop for lunch was at the capital of Slovenia - Ljubljana. The city centre felt more urban than our last few stops - business people dressed for work, but a lovely pedestrian area with green space, the Three Bridges as well as some lovely architecture. This was a brief stop as we continued on our way to Lake Bled. ...

5 euro if you steal food from the buffet here so no apple for snacking on later today for me.

The third cavern has ...

We decide to walk to Savica Splat (waterfall), we think splat is a great word for waterfall :) Picnic packed we set off. The well marked path tells us it is 1 hour, the path winds up through the forest the leaves on some trees are staring to change to autumn colours, ...

... pass no. 2, this one is shorter but steeper 18%. The road signs tell us to engage 1st gear, we opt for low ratio and crawl, part way up Dreamcatcher started to get a bit warm! We pulled over and the resident mechanic checked the water level, that's ok! Altered the setting on the cooling fan and off we crawled again. A little further a car was coughing and spluttering and came to a stand still on a bend, ...
