... or Danish, the train drove onto a ferry! We then had to go upstairs to the main decks while we make "the crossing". We get to hang out for about 40 minutes on a ferry while we cross some body of water that might be the Baltic. I'm unsure. I can't find a map on this ferry anywhere. It's a big ferry. 142 meters long to be exact. The whole train fits in here and is two decks below ...

Thurs 9/10 cont.

  • The bus pulled into Hamburg at about 2pm. I took the tube to St. Pauli station and checked into my hostel. It was pretty basic but would do the job. The atmosphere there was pretty dead and it was full of German guys that were there looking for work.
  • The receptionist was a crazy lady that couldn't speak much English. Instead she just made sound effects. She was really nice and helpful though, and from the sound effects I could ...
