... in, put our bags in our room and then headed out to do some shopping...well looking really. There was a cool pedestrian only area with tons of shops everywhere...and tons of people! But I guess that`s what happens on a Saturday in Lucerne. Then after our experience in Interlaken we wanted to check to make sure we could still go up to Mount Pilatus on the Gondola's. So we went to talk to the guy who sells tickets, and he said it was still ...
Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland kkb-myadventure... went up to the Phoenix which is the weather station. While there, it started snowing and the weather started to close in so we decided to head back down to the bottom of the mountain so that we had views on the way down. By the time we left on the train and had got through the tunnel, all we could see was cloud or mist and it had started to rain.
When we got to Grindlewald we got warm in a restaurant (although ...
... were doing, as if to say ‘oh, you again’.
Back at the cable car station we had a ten minute wait for the car and when we boarded we made sure that we were right at the front for the best view on the way down. We didn’t realize at the time what kind of view we were in for though!
The car took off and you could only see the first tower it had to pass through before it dropped off and went downhill. I don’t think many people realized that we were ...
... that happens. If you follow our orders you most likely won't get hurt, but if you do its a $10000 helicopter rescue and we really don't like helicopters. All of the excitement we had from Eye of the Tiger had switched to silence. Then the guides started tieing rope to the railing on the road. He called on one of the girls in the group (we all had nicknames on our helmet that we went by all day). We had a 170 foot repel down into ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland mrletich... Vietnam a few years ago we paid around $20 to go from one end of the country to the other (over five days). Anway, I got over it as I looked out the window. We had the bus to ourselves (almost) so I figured out it was the cost of a taxi back to our comfy eiderdown covers and delicious food. Our second night here we had the most delicious meal we have experienced in our three months in Europe. Really, if you get a chance to experience this place don’t let the lack of WC ...

Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland sheayoungThis is our new format. Its Naty & Milo mixed paragraph...guess who wrote what! We finally arrived to Zurich. Defınately Jet Lag is an understatement. We were literally knocked down... Needless to say we slept about an hour each on the plane. We watched Mission Impossible III, read the newspaper, listened to music, etc. Upon arriving to Zurich, we were walking zombies. We forced ourselves to stay awake so that we will sleep better tonight. Supposedly you are not ...
Zurich, Switzerland milverBrad, Melissa, Jamie (Melissa's friend from Oregon), and I went on a road trip to Luzerne, Switzerland. Luzerne is a cute town and we had a blast just walking around. It was really cold, but we alternated between walking around and getting coffee! I am always amazed by the towns of Europe.
Luzerne, Switzerland worldcup... to get to the bathroom, but now we had to ask for the combination? We had to trek back down the stairs and ask for the code with a series of gestures. Swiss Parliment The Swiss Parliment is an extremely interesting building. It is called the "Federal Palace" by the Swiss. It was constructed in the late 1800s, and finally being inaugurated in 1902. The building was designed by a French architect named Auer. The two main chambers of the building (where the two ...
Berne, Switzerland spitfyre... seen commuter trains shooting across a bridge spanning the autobahn so I decided to follow the tracks toward the city until I found a station. Around 8am, 10 hours after Operation Nightrider began, I said goodbye to Fabio from Milano and hello to 50 points and a new attitude toward hitching at night.
