      ... a mixed salad followed by apple crumble, now that was delicious! I also had my first red skinned banana in Kovalam and it was really tasty.Just like a normal banana but thicker and firmer. I was on top form when I asked a waitor in one cafe if the ice was made with water!

      We decided that we prefer Varkala to Kovalam so after 3 nights here we are headed back up to Varkala to spend our first Valentines day as husband and wife relaxing round a pool somewhere ! ...

      ... were in the festival, I was told not to go near them, they were suffering from ‘brain damage’ and they had gone berserk after the festival and had to be chained up

      ... to the check-in lady the journey should have cost 100 rupees (2 USD and not 10USD)

      It reminded me of a conversation I had on my first day in Delhi after getting hassle in Old Delhi where the shop keeper said that tourists were once treated as guests but are now exploited - this hasn't changed over the length of India.

      India has been interesting and I'm really glad to have experienced it but don't think I'll be back......

      ... in big flowing motions. The oil is made from herbs and is slightly sandy feeling. It left our skin feeling very very soft and smooth. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

      After my treatment, herbs were rubbed into the top of my head and I was blessed with a tikka. Then I joined Vinh on a rooftop where we enjoyed traditional Kerela-style dumplings and chutney while we waited for my parents. We were feeling very healthy and relaxed.
