      ... and very skilled work.

I should also mention that on our first night here we came out of the Indian coffee house and could immediately sense what was about to come next.....Rain! We haven't seen rain in nearly 3 months and managed to make it home before the heavens really opened so we only got mildly damp-but it felt lovely, refreshing :)

So tomorrow morning bright and early we are headed to the airport to catch our flight to Mumbai to await our flight out of India. :( ...

We made the time pass quicker by me beating Tim in Yaatzi several times (I claim it's skill and not luck) and by watching the landscape pass by. One of the great parts about Indian trains is that they drive with their doors open (for all the moms and dads that get worried at that thought, you don't have to, the trains drive a lot slower here than home;)). That morning Rory decided he wanted to give surfing a go and get a lesson. Although the waves were good in Kovalam we decided that we would save it for Oz and just rent some body boards instead. The teacher wasnt the best in the world and openly addmitted to not really being able to surf much himself. ...

... to sell alcohol in restaurants in India which most of the places here can't be bothered to get, so to avoid inspection or being caught by the police, they serve it in teapots and mugs.

In the end we didn't go to the Indian's house for dinner. It started getting quite sketchy and we didn't want to risk it. In the end it looked like it would've actually been fine ...

Sad to be leaving Hampi, but on to Kerala next.

... cream and before we knew it a torrential downpour started again. Most people quickly vanished from the beach and under shelter but there was a few people like us enjoying the wet relief and cooling off in it. The waves here are pretty good and the surfers were all out enjoying that. It seemed to make no difference to the state of us either being in the rain or not as we're pretty consistently damp either way! As we've only got a week in Kerala we decided to move on. Both of us ...
