... which you take to another counter to pay your money, and they give you a hand-written receipt which you then take back to checkin and show it to get your boarding pass!
Anyway their process was a great source of amusement and made up for the pain of the sting from their revenue raising. The joke is that it probably cost them more to run the manual process for collecting the revenue than what they earned.

... the front of this small tighly picked
bar and tried everything. Some of the ones we tried included; a mint shot that
we light on fire and captured under a glass due to chemical reaction… hard to
explain but it was awesome, a ‘boy scout’ in which we light the bar on fight
and we roasted mini marshmallows before doing a shot and eating the
marshmellow, a flaming nipple which had an orage and whip cream and was on
fire, and a finding nemo… I know ...

... as you could see. It is vastly different from some of our city centers as the activity heightens at night for the people that live right downtown in the numerous highrise apartment buildings. It was definitely a different look with all of the ladies wearing scarves. So upscale looking.

This was Spanish with almost a French accent! And the land of Euros! No US Dollars allowed. I didn't even think about that fact. ...

... cold sitting on the open top of the bus. Coming around the front of this hill the port of Barcelona was revealed. In the next half an hour we toured the port, the redevelopments that opened the city to the sea after 1992, the amazingly high gondola over the harbour and a gazillion boats, yachts and launches moored. We came back to the city centre past parks, the zoo and then into Cuitat Vella, the old town. This area will need exploring. By ...

... afternoon in the streets honestly I was just so thirsty it went down like water ..... You would have been proud of me managed way more than my usual limit of two drinks ... Lots of fun, fabulous food, good company and then into the small theatre for some dancing and cava (local champagne) wow the Flamenco dance .. passion, anger , bitterness and independence .... Eat your heart out river dance these people can stomp. Whew eventually back to bed and blessed ...
