Meanwhile here are some pictures in and around the ship as we traveled east for 8 days. It is
mindboggling to me, how a huge ship like the Epic, 155,764 tons, can function
for 8 days straight, have enough power, water, food etc. for 4100 passengers
and 1753 employees.

... for the Olympics held there in the 90's. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay and enjoy the beaches because of the topless grannies laying out everywhere. That and pale Katie cannot stay out in the sun for too long (sunscreen did not make it in the carry on bags). We spent most of our time in the shade and yet we still got sunburns! It makes no sense.

... the famous Ramblas Street, charming and promising according to its reputation. We found a nice restaurant and enjoyed a great meal- all ordering had to be done in Catalonian Spanish (Daddy esplain!). See our little video and the way we enjoy playing around .

... waving stopped when MerceDansa began and as the sun set we watched as various different troupes including Pastorets, Bastoners and Gitanes went through their routines, some stately and elegant, others wild and dangerous looking.
