... and the freezing, drizzling rain.
A couple of teachers and I decided to make the three hour flight to Copenhagen to bask in its Christmas glory. (Barcelona's 55 degree temperatures don't elicit much Christmas spirit...) We'd heard that there is an incredible amount of Christmas "passion" there and it was so true- lights, Christmas Markets, carolers, snow and decorations galore!

But now it is a back to normal and winter is starting to set in. Daylight savings time now has the sun setting at 4:30 which is weird to say the least but at least it's always bright when we wake up. It has started to get chilly but I haven't had to whip out the parka yet.

We stopped at Rema we bought lollies and some food the the next few days. It started to rain so we ran to are hotel room a made tacos for dinner and we also watched a little Danish tv.

... in Stroget ( the other walking street ). What a display of lego creations. Nick - you would have been in heaven. Big and little kids were everywhere and they had a huge play/build section where the kids were competing with the adults for a seat.

No buses in sight so we walked down to the Square where we would intersect with the guards before they got to the Palace where Queen Margarette lives. Interception complete and we followed them through the streets to their final destination - as did others. We stayed for a while but I was mindful of the time - now after noon - and thought we should do the canal tour next as the last tour was at 3pm.
