When we came off the motorway we had to go through the mountain again but this time we went over the top! It was not as high here but still great fun. It was a very steep decent on the other side with lots of hairpin bends.

absolutely fresh. We bought half a kilo of anchovies that I spent
some considerable time gutting before cooking them up for tea. The
anchovies, boiled new potatoes, Rocket and tomatoes for tea with a
bottle of local Istrian white.
In the morning we had to air the flat
as well as we could as the fried anchovy smell is difficult to shift
but it was worth it.

Last hike in Croatia It is a nostalgic day as we start out on our last hike. The two weeks have flown by. Made some fine new friends who I want to stay in touch with.
