... myself but then he tells me that we'll be starting within the next hour...what?!?! I've never really had surgery before and so I was getting kind of anxious. On top of that, because I had eaten a small piece of bread right before being rescued, they couldn't do normal anesthesia on my and had to do lumbar anesthesia...which meant I would be awake for the whole surgery. I figured that it would be like the dentist, where it doesn't really hurt, but it definitely doesn't feel ...

We are staying in Tamsweg for one night so there won't be much to say about this place!!

The hotel was beautiful... my room had traditional Tyrolean furniture which was so pretty! AND the bathroom had the biggest shower ever! 3 shower ...

Once on the road again we headed the lil Juke for Hallstatt. It was just over 3 hours to get there even with including our first European traffic jam. Once we were getting closer to Hallstatt, we hit these roads with curves I have never experienced before. ...

... the train to class every day. Now the bad, I miss out on much of the culture of Salzburg, and the small town provides only so much. I am about a 20 minute train ride to the HBF is not bad by Calgary standards, but 20 minutes is a long here when most villages are 15 minutes to 20 minutes apart. I did by a train pass, but having to plan everything lessened the excitement.

... br> In town, there were remnants of Christmas and with church bells tolling, classic Austrian-style houses, and brisk winter air, I couldn't help but get sentimental! After all, I was in the middle of Austria with the best brother in the whole wide world! AMAZING!

Our Strobl excursion ended with a lovely cup of homemade hot cocoa in a quant little bakery. We hopped the bus, then journeyed back to Puch.
