Ha, Bad Gastein! A little city, all up and down following the U-formed mountain, in the U one has a little waterfall. Lovely! This "bad" name says what it is: a city about water. Empress Sisi came here to follow water cures, and lots of hotels here offer thermal arrangements!

I arrived saturday evening, and sunday I went for a discovery walk. To the tourist information bureau, I needed a map with the possible hikes in ...

What a place to relax and recuperate. I'm feeling it! But how could we stay here? I can't imagine there is much work, unless you run a ski related thing? And, how do they manage to keep all the flowers in such good order? The whole place is spotless & the flowers on the houses (every ...

... floor of sauna, steam, showers & a UV room (not sure what that is - it's not a sun bed, it says 'physio therme' so I guess it's for tired muscles). We ventured to another bigger resort yesterday for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Zell Am See is a ski resort with a big lake. It rained, so we took the cable car to up one of the many mountains and found a cafe with a play park and incredible views. Coffee and apple strudel (we'd hardly earned it!) and ice creams followed ...
