... talked about the ship lunches yet. We get a three course lunch at about 1-2pm every day. Dario sets the table beautifully, we are then served big pots of soup (a thin, brothy soup flavoured with stock and occasionally tomato) which we ladle into our bowls and eat with thick cut bread. We get a simple salad and a main then (all manner of cooked lunch, sometimes fish and potatoes, or gnocchi with Mediterranean veges, or stuffed peppers and mashed potato) and this ...

We made final walk notes, snapped a few photos, and enjoyed the happy hum of humanity before climbing back in our rental car and heading across the island in the dark. ... also extended their hospitality to any friends or family that swing by Korcula.

If only we had stayed another night, because they would have taken us to have lunch with good friends who run a popular restaurants in town, try some local wine and olive oil, and to see some local sights. If only.

Next time, we will definitely return to Korcula and stay for at least a few nights. Friends make a place so much richer.

Our last day of travelling was towards Split. On the way we ended up docking in the crew’s hometown and had a swim and relaxed (Evan had a 'white coffee’). Once we got to Split, we did a "tour" with our tour leader Nicole. To do any guide work in Croatia, you must be Croatian and they are very strict with the registration of guides. As Split was a bigger place, they are able to enforce these rules more ...
