Guggenheim, trams and shopping
The last three days we have been in Zarautz and Bilbao (the Spainish name for it is Bilbo as in Bilbo Baggins). We also went to San Sebastián and looked around.
In Bilbao we went to the Guggenheim Art Museum. Inside the Guggenheim the architecture was amazing, everything was curved apart from the floor. My favourite thing was the this …
Cycle tour of Bilbao
As I think will become the norm we were out and about in the morning before any of the places were open. Meanwhile the first and most important job today was to get a coffee, it ended up being a learning experience as we got two espresso's so the coffee was okay but not quite what we had in mind when we were ordering them.
The day was a …
Wanderings in a sleepy daze
The first day in Bilbao was proceeded with a few learnings on travelling.
We have arrived in Frankfurt and it was easy to get lost as the place was massive. I'm sure you could wander around it all day without covering your tracks. Cec had a bit of a delay at the passport control spot, when asked how long she was going to be in Europe she said 4 …

We then …

We'd a great time at Hotel Jardines, we cycled there from the airport and found it very easy, the street seemed quiet and the staff were very friendly and found a spot for our bikes.
When we cam out a few hours later the street had come alive and it was party time in Bilbao with the restaurants in the street full and the street full of people doing their nightly walk, a great location with lots of options in the immediate vicinity, staff were very friendly and accommodated our lack of local language very well.
