... Guess it was good to get my steps in for the day.

The sunset was most beautiful with oranges, reds, rainbows and birds all flying about. Don’t know that I did it any justice with the photos, but you get the idea.

Dinner at the hotel in the evening—to make it simple and ease our packing for our early morning trip back to Foggia and then on to Positano!

... tax returns, attempting to set up jobs in London, skyping with some intermittent beach lying and reading.

Lots to report today. We had one of our best rides yet along the coast from Peschici to Manttinata through Gargano Park. Lots of rolling hills, little traffic and beautiful vistas. Unfortunately the local police had closed the road for a car race. We used ...

This morning got off to a rocky start. We took a "shortcut" which looked extremely promising on the map, however, the dirt road gradually turned into a two track and then a sand path through a swamp which was infested with most of the world's mosquitoes. Who knew mosquitoes loved Italy too? Eventually we pushed the bikes through the soft sand for about a kilometer while fighting off and ingesting the mosquitoes ...

    A day at sea

... The waves made a loud bang when they hit the ship. It sounded like thunder. Fortunately, I didn't get sick and slept well. However, Toni got sea sick. Another fun event on the ship is when we come into a port and dock and again when we leave a port. Most passengers, that have a balcony, come out and those that don't go up on the top floors to watch this event. If there is another ship at the port all the passengers wave to one another. It is dorky but ...
