Decided to take a day trip to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina because it's only a few hours by bus from Dubrovnik. It was a nice ride along the lovely coastline and a nice river delta area full of orange, lime, and fig trees. Bosnia is a mildly eery place, with tensions just below the surface. You definitely still see signs of the 1991 to 1996 Balkan conflict. Bullet holes ...
Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina wallermark... had been a tradition going until 1993 when Croatian forces shelled the old town and destroyed the bridge. Then it got rebuilt in 2004 and these contests kicked off again
The next day I was going to take a look around town however something kinda
funny happened. I woke up, rubbed my eye and accidentally rubbed somegrit or what felt like a dozen eyelashes tied in a knot into the back of my eye... nice one.
Tried washing it out, didn't work. Still felt annoying but thought ...
... knowledgable, and fun person I have met. He doesn't drink since he's a muslim, but he has the energy to put us all to shame. I want whatever he's on. When we got back to the hostel we actually made a tribute book with Bata's greatest quotes that suddenly had become part of our vocabulary, unintentionally. What was interesting about the end of the evening was that when we got back at midnight, 4 of us were planning on going out for a night on the town. Majda, the owner of ...
Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina dhruvk... pleasant colored, the atmosphere and ambience is unrivaled. And most importantly, the history of the town makes its people some of the most lovable lot around the world.
Once again I sign off hoping that my experience and my account of it can change your perception of this beautiful country, and you do decide to visit. I should get cracking on the beers and Cuba libres now, tonight is the night to celebrate God's coloring book called Mostar. Tomorrow I'm ...
... up alot as I lost my grib on it and the rope was rubbing against my finger it is now about 2 times the size of the opposite finger from the swelling. After our refreshing dip in the water we headed to this place called Medugorje which is a little touristy town that is pretty awful in my opinion and everyone elses opinion. The story goes that 6 children had a visage that they saw Mary up in a hill in 1991 or 1981 I cant remeber and ever since then the town has become a ...

Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina michlacEnglish further down.
Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina ingridt... the countryside still shines through, look... The rain then hurried us out of town, I'm afraid to say. On the way out we attempted to indulge Dad's passion for planes at the local airport, but my god, if anything ever flew there, you wouldn't know about it ...
Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina sianeth... tireless mother. The women have converted three extra rooms in their apartment into dorms with 3-5 beds. Gracious hosts (I wonder that they don't tire of constantly having groups of rowdy kids under their roofs) there is always plenty of tea and coffee, and if you hang out in the living room long enough, Mama's sure to come by with a small plate of her excellent cooking for you. It really felt like being home (even ad a good shower) and I was sorry to leave when the time came.
