Evan and I took the bikes down to the village bakery for breakfast croissants and Brezil's, we had also ran out of coffee so stopped at the tiny general store for coffee and fruit. It seems very odd leaving your bike outside of shops without locking it.

... before getting to the Grand Canyon we stopped at little known Zion National Park, which is like the opposite of the Grand Canyon. Towering cliffs for the canyon walls and you get to hike up to a sliver of stone that just out into the middle with sheer drops on either side and only a chain rope to stop you falling off! Sitting on the edge with your feet dangling over is definitely not for the faint hearted!

We move on to LEGOLAND tomorrow, Evan is very excited and even went to bed early. We will drive around two hours East away from the Rhine and onto the Danube, the most Easterly we will be of the entire trip, at that point we will be about 100 miles from the Austrian border. We slept in late and had a long breakfast with Conny. She has made us feel so comfortable and has planned out our travel for us each night! We did a little workout in Rudy's fabulous gym and then left for Karlsruhe. It was also time for lunch so we headed to Burger King. Finding fast food restaurants in Germany isn't easy unless you are in downtown or on the side of the Autobahn and I think that is a good thing. At the moment we are only eating junk food once a month or less. But then again for 7€, a meal isn't cheap. You can normally order a schnitzel in a restaurant for under 10€.

Steffie was keen to go shopping ...
