We finished up the evening at a great little spot--the SchnitzelBank which is a really small restaurant (25 people max on 4 shared tables) that used to be a wine barrel maker shop in 1900. I have to say that my favourite animals are the birds of prey and the Riesenseeadler or Steller's Sea Eagle was amazing. The flamingos were also good to see as well as the kangaroos. It's always funny to think that animals from Australia are somehow exotic like a toucan, but the Germans love them! Germans have weird names for animals sometimes like:

1. Der Waschbär - raccoon (wash bear)

My mum, a friend of her and I took a day tour to visit the Christmas markets in Heidelberg and to hopefully have nice weather for some pictures.

I remember that I visited Heidelberg some years ago in summer and that I did not like it as it was so full of tourists.

It is funny how sometimes when you think of a place you are full of joy and sometimes you just do not like a place at all.

I guess Heidelberg is a mixture.

... you are out to dinner (hard to explain but they have the round disk that sits on the table and the the metal "J" that hangs down and you hang your bag off that).... Bad explanation there I know.. Sorry!! Ha ha. Also today while out, Conny had also ducked into a shop and bought us a set of electric salt and pepper grinders.... We were so engrossed in theirs and loved it! Ha ha! They also gave us our train tickets from Germany to Paris as a gift. I couldn't argue with Conny ...
