Lovely breakfast on the balcony of the hotel with a stunning view of the beach. Really chilled morning then headed off on a walk along the prom and around the shops to look for sunglasses for Joe. Saw some lovely buildings and narrow streets and ...

... Casino. We've got photos of it all........and the cars!!! Ferrari's, Maserati's, Bentleys, Mercedes......you name it, we saw it.....well Andrew did. We strolled back through the town and made our way back up the hill to find the car. Not sure if any of you have been in a lift car park before but I was fascinated, Got a little video right at ...

It seems they have saved the toughest until last as we need to climb four mountains today before our decent into Nice and the chance to dip our toes in the Med. It was an earlier start as the day is set to be long one. Without the chance to warm up we were climbing straight away with a 16km Col with an average gradient of 8%. The views from the top were so worth the effort. The decent was fast but unfortunately the road was ...

    ... Port. and there was!!!

Nice is rather spread out , so today we chose the little white train leaving from the Oceanside (Promenade des Anglais), to do our exploring and save our legs in the heat.1 hour of open air sightseeing with headphones and languages to suit the passengers…..certainly a good way to get the overview………. Garry rather fancies the tandam parasailing off the beach (and I made the mistake of saying I will see)- of course he thinks ...
