....and I was in hell. Today we left Florence and started our journey towards tonight's destination of Nice, France. We have to remember merci instead of grazie and bonjour instead of ciao. First stop....Pisa. To see of course the Leaning Tower. We pulled up in the car park which is miles from the tower and it was full of coaches....arrgghhhhhh!!! Joey had organised a little train to take us to the tower. Luckily the area is large enough to absorb most of ...

I ventured out on the peer to capture the town....nice. Could quite easily have spent the whole day here, but alas time to get moving. We strolled back through the town and made our way back up the hill to find the car. Not sure if any of you have been in a lift car park before but I was fascinated, Got a little video right at ...

It was where the pope i1305 came to stay for 70 years when he got run out by the Romans, very flash. Had a ...

... azzuro'. We find it next to a bustling square next to saint reparate church. The flavours were very French, I choose creme brûlée and Fig whilst my husband chooses macaroon and toblerone. The large hand made waffle cones add an extra edge to the ice cream, also the owner offers whipped cream with topping on top, I sadly decline whilst my husband agrees and later regrets the sugar overload. We exit the ...

... them. I can see how saintly they are compared to the demanding selfish au-pair kids. And no I ain't biased!

With Carol I actually got dressed up properly for Halloween for maybe the first time ever. We were bloody vampires. Went to the only bar in town. A Cuban one decked out for the holiday. Made friends with some circus kids. Fun night!
