    ... for Monday night. We got to thinking about the drive and home, and decided to see if we could change our reservations to Sunday night, leaving a day early from here. So we did, and the hotel could accommodate us for Sunday night. Mac and Josie were very glad to be leaving early – they are a bit homesick and really missing their friends and our pets.

    ... na´ve we were, as there were probably as many Cardinal fans at the stadium as there were Padres fans. Whodathunk?

    Mark had found front row seats through Stub Hub, right down the third base line. Our first clue that things might be different was that they had taken down all the batting practice screens. No BP baseballs today. Groups of kids were walking the field and no players were to be seen.

    The cars on Autopia are new to us. Gone are the little speedsters that looked like classic Corvettes. Now they’re more of a generic shape. Not as much fun or stylish, on our opinion, but we’re old school.

    Next up, the Matterhorn. Egad, the wait time was 45 minutes long. However, the line was in the shade, so Mark found a quiet seat and Cheryl, Mac and Josie got on the ride. ...
