Beim Bahnhof, Box 64 Grindelwald, Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps, Switzerland, CH-3818, 33-853-1021
Caught bus from Vaduz Post to Sargans. We then caught an express train to Zurich Hauptbahnhof before catching a connecting train to Interlaken Ost. Due to technical problems the train was limited to 90km/h between Bern and Interlaken Ost meaning we arrived in Interlaken 10 minutes late. We then caught a regional train to Grindelwald which was not included in our Eurail Pass so we had to pay 14.80 CHF for the journey. After arriving in Grindelwald at 2pm in light snow. We walked across the roa...
Grindelwald, Swiss Alps, Switzerland tyga After arriving back from the Jungrau we hade a coffee at Central Hotel Wolter then bought a few souvenirs before heading back to the hotel for a rest.
Went out for dinner at 6.30pm, eating again at Central Hotel Wolter where we tried the Lämpi Rösti which was fried grated potato with bacon, ham, onion, tomato, cheese and egg. Very nice!
Returned to the hotel to pack for our trip to Bern the next morning.

Annemarth
Ausserbinn, Switzerland lesterenanne... zig-zag. Stones called schindles sit like heavy checkers on old rooftops, awaiting nature's next move. These stones protect the slate from the violent winter winds. Gimmelwald's biggest building is the school in which 2 teachers share one job. There's nothing but air between Gimmelwald and the rock face of the Jungfrau a mile or two across. Kick a soccer ball wrong and it ends up a mile below on the Lauterbrunnen Valley floor. Gimmelwald ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland trockie... the Montengro Mission to Geneva. I got to see the Ambassador of Montenegro speak AND the Director-General of United Nations of Geneva. On Friday I went to a great lunch with my girl friends and one of my friend's parents who were in town and visiting. It was fun to recap all of the semester's adventures in story form to her parents. That afternoon I had an interview with the project advisor to India at Terre des Hommes. It was a great interview ...

Grindelwald, Swiss Alps, Switzerland smithoshea... did a small but nice hike in the mountains the next day. It’s crazy how you lose your hiking skills really quickly. I felt like i was going to fall over every step I took. All over the valley, we could see para-sailers in the sky, it would have been awesome to try except it the damage was at least $170 each... bummer.

http://picasaweb.google. com/lh/photo/_RXGGfa-cjNcaDADRk_4xA?aut hkey=Gv1sRgCMTOwqr-zZGObA&feat=dire ctlink
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland sofenjon... just the place where the train tracks ended, we were there. I didn't even take my backpack off before opening our windows and snapping some photos of the north face of Eiger and the other peaks that were almost touchable. They seemed so close. We pushed our beds under the two big windows and then, like in Lausanne, we snatched up some brochures and went to find a place to eat and plan under the lights of the town. We explored a little--found ...
Grindelwald, Swiss Alps, Switzerland nglick... we crossed the face of the mountain, looking at glacier-fed waterfalls, Swiss cows (complete with bells) and 4,000 lunatics running a marathon from Interlaken (1,860ft) up the valley to the finish at Scheidegg Station (6,761ft). We ended up hiking close to 5 hours, and by the end our legs were so shot from moving downhill we looked forward to the uphill portions. The amount of people hiking was amazing - from the very young to the very old. I think anyone in that part of the world ...
Grindelwald, Switzerland the_mcdonoughs... 4-inch slugs. We stopped too often for pictures. After an hour, we were nowhere near the halfway point so we caught a train back down just in time for dinner. Talking about food, everyone ate nothing but bread and pasta during their stay here. No one went to the restaurant, except perhaps to McDonald´s where a Big Mac meal went for $12! Poor Liesje craved chicken so much that she dreamt of KFC! We vowed to eat well once in Spain.
