... finished at a Font Romeu over in France. It started in the main square in front of the monastery with the mayor making a little speech and wishing us well. The race began with a convoy through the town lead by a race car before the timing started at about the five kilometre mark. With many townsfolk lining the streets and waving us on and the sunshine on the racers multi coloured outfits and bikes, the atmosphere was special - ...

... S-bends everywhere but fabulous views. Lunch at a very windy viewpoint, where the temperature had dropped from 30 to 18 very quickly. Wild horses and domestic cattle grazing together, then goats on the way down. After the tour, set off toward Andorra, another country when you might say "Where?" Andorra is on the ...

The weather continues to get hotter! After yesterday's reliance on Snooper, I looked carefully at the map before we left. We followed the red tourist train along the valley. We passed by Puilaurens, yet another Cathar castle perched high on the mountain ridge. How did they build them? We found the aire in Quillan easily and having parked, we only had a couple of km to go to get our shopping. Smartie is sooo ...

... tiny country nestled in the Pyrenees mountains, landlocked between Spain and France. There are only 85,000 people in the whole country, and you could drive to all 7 regions in a day if you wanted to. We visited four of them. We stayed in Ordino, which was a georgeous little town of rock buildings and cobblestone streets.

Andorra is known for its extreme sports--skiing, mountain biking, canyoning, rock climbing, four wheeling--you name it. And like good, ...
