We arrived in Milan dead tried after another marathon flight from Toronto (with a stop in Germany for about an hour). Unfortunately it was only 8 AM requiring us to gut it out to try to make it to evening. Our hotel, Hotel Berna, was an easy walk from the train station (once we figured out the map) and was everything we could want in a hotel, a …

We did not need to leave until 12.00
today so we had a walk around Belgrade. Alison slept in, her cold
is still not good. The Botanical gardens were close by so we walked
around there. Very small really, compared to Melbourne which really
is world class. Interesting all the same. Plants were …

When you think of Milan (or at least when I think of it), two things come to mind right away: opera and fashion...

For opera there is the world renowned opera house La Scala (Teatro alla Scala) ...

For fashion - well, everything: most Italian fashion houses are headquartered here, and there is hardly any …

We woke up in Venice to a pouring rain and had to make a run for the train station. We eventually outran the rain and passed through some pretty countryside. We took a lot of pictures from the train but they didn't really come out too well. One note of interest - we missed seeing Ronaldinho by a day. On the 17th, he was in Milan and signed with AC …

This was our first flight ever with Ryanair and for the price we paid I thought it was reasonable, we departed on time and also arrived a bit early which was great. The only annoying thing for any girl is that you need to fit your handbag into the hand luggage as it counts as hand luggage and you only allowed to bring one piece, but I think I am …

    Perfectly located

We had a double room for 55 euros without breakfast, an incredible price for a 4**** hotel , room size according european standards. Close to train /metro and just a 20 minutes nice walk to "duomo"(Milan's Cathedral).

it is a Great choice, We highly recommend it even paying 100 euros

The Berna is a convenient friendly hotel in Milan

We had two triple rooms which were very clean, modern and of adequate size. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The hotel is very convenient. It was no more than a 5 minute walk to the train station, and the metro was a 3 minute walk. The metro is only 4 stops (5 minutes) away from the city centre (Duomo, Galleria, etc.). The buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had in Europe. A lot of selections at the breakfast buffet, and not the least was a bowl of Toblerone chocolates which my 11 yr son loved. They also had nice food at the bar in the evening, which we even used for dinner one night when it was too rainy to go out. I definitely would stay at this hotel on a return trip to Milan.

    Will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is great - we paid 99euro for a double and it's worth ever cent of it. the room is spacious (by italian standard). the staff is very friendly and helpful (also with a smile). the breadfast is great - one of the best i have experienced in italy - it has eggs and bacons, a variety of fruits, breads and rolls, salad...etc. it also provides internet service and is only 3 min walk from the main train station.

    Lovely place
