... mind up that I was going to wait until I got back, but I didn’t want to wait any longer. So Katy and I weaved our way through the booths looking at purses and going back to look at purses and being positive that I was getting the right one. I had seen several I liked in Venice, and I found them again when I got here, but nothing was sticking out (except, of course, a purse that was WAY too expensive). So I kept looking. FINALLY I saw one that I ...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy ab10... Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Potatoes, and Mixed Vegetables. For dessert pumpkin pie, ice cream, and apple cider! It was nice to spend the night with classmates and a few professors.
Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

... food in Italy so far! Amazing!
Finished off with a gelati from Vivoli.
Walked up to Michaelangelo Square for awesome views right across Florence which is a pretty flat city and then over to Ponte Vechio.
Wednesday checked out Academia, the highlight of which was Michaelangelo's David which is a lot more amazing and stunning in real life than pictures or the copies littered about the city.
There was also a Robert ...
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

... Fee of 5 Euro AND a exchange fee of 0.20 Eurocent related to each single euro paid by the exchange (!), has resulted to a amount of 45 Euro less than it supposed to be. An intervention at the Italian Carabinieri Office (Police Station) didn't help anything. If it is legal in Italy, to charge any kind of Fees an rates, regardless if unlawful or not, this procedure reminds too much about Mafia Business. Well, I am still in Italy...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy pajas... t gone enough. the lady knows us - where we go to school and what we're studying - if that's not a sign that we eat too much pizza, i'm not sure what is. we took it to go and ate on a park bench where we took many ridiculous pictures, recorded videos and were judged by passing italians. we went home after, sara worked on her fashion designs and i made the slideshow til 3am. she never went to sleep.
3 days til we leave.
... 2nd floor. So we went up one floor and couldn't find our room. The room numbers went up to 124. So I went back down and she said the 2nd floor, not the first. I guess in Florence, the 2nd Canadian floor is the 1st European floor and the 3rd Canadian floor is the 2nd European floor. Does that make sense? Anyway, embarrassed as I was, we did find our room and it is very, very, comfortable. The bathroom is spotless and it ...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy canadianmom... buy yarn everytime I enter a yarn store. The only question is how much am I going to spend. Then I raced back to the Uffizi only to realize it was not the Accademia. I spent another 10-15 minutes racing between points, asking police, shop owners and postcard stand people where the Accademia was. Fortunately, the guide held the tour for me. Of course, my inability to find Academia was made more ridiculous ...
