... several water monitors (lizards) lounging on the beach. These massive lizards (not as large as the Komodo dragon but pretty darn big) were soaking up the sun without a care in the world. As we slowly approached and I tried to take a few photographs they stealthily made their way across the beach and disappeared into the very dense forest foliage. One of them crossed right over the trail where we were walking; he/she must have been at least 2 meters long!

... are friendly, helpful, and speak English! If we had been in China we would have ended up having to get a taxi because we would have missed the bus and never understood why! I think we probably spent longer on the bus getting there and back then we actually spent there, but as I was getting up at 4am I was more concerned with getting myself packed up and ready for my flight!

... For our final night together we went to the best restaurant in town for a great meal, though after the night before and such a big day that was all we could manage.
