After an uneventful drive, we arrived in Bressanone(Brixen) in the evening, just in time for some home cooked food prepared by friends, followed by a game of cards played with an interesting deck of cards. Hoping for better weather we went to bed with the aim of reaching Belgrade the following ...

      Dolomites to Paris

... to arrive some other lady couldn't carry her tray and suitcase so I carried her tray for her to her table. Again she was thankful. I'm hoping after the few good deeds for the day my karma has leveled out. We caught the flight to Paris and checked into our hotel, the Mercure. It was very fancy. The Dolomites Day 2

A travel blog entry by jtate on Jan 20, 2015

... clipped/strapped in and started to tackle the slope. The first part was ok until we got to a part that was a very steep gradient. Ash decided that it was a bit too steep and was out of her comfort zone and couldn't go any further. I will admit it was steep with people zooming past and it was also pretty narrow so not much room for turns. We had a few emotional moments of being stuck on the mountain, not being able to go back up or down. After ...

      Venice to the Dolomites

A travel blog entry by jtate on Jan 18, 2015

... I did a big lap of the town, it was -4deg, and had no luck finding the office. After asking for directions a few times and following them in a round about way to no avail then asking for more directions leading me back to the bus stop where ash was waiting I was starting to get a bit frustrated! Eventually we noticed a big Ski Pass sign staring us right in the face across the road from the bus station... If only I ...
