They took us to their home in Roermond where we spent a very enjoyable and relaxing day and a half.

The pictures will attest to the beauty of this quaint ...

... twice, but it was impressive none the less. Much was underground by gas light. Thee caves were actually quarry caves where the limestone was removed by farmers and used in local buildings and also the Church domes. This tour was also by gas light and our guide left us in the darkness for a few moments just to experience true darkness. Although we only walked for 1 hour in the cave system it's ...

... crowds in a small village (Gomze maybe), and more in Hasselt (soccer?). We, however, were looking for a bakery and/or a friterie. How can you transit Belgium without beer, frites, and mayo? Close to giving up, Sandra spotted an open brasserie just 3 miles from our proposed campsite. It wasn't cheap, but it did have trappist beer, "the best" mussels in Belgium, frites and mayo. So we scored to the tune of €57. As luck would have it, the local airfield just ...
