... land so only cow pats remained. Only a little forest here, but once we got past a larger resort (mainly for cross country skiing and long distance hiking) we got into more forest. Went down a sharp descent and came across some fellow cutting trees on the side of the track. Then we entered the Rettenbachklamm ravine, a most spectacular narrow gorge with towering cliffs on both sides and a river roaring along the bottom. ... as a breed unto itself and can be seen doing things all across the globe that most cultures would consider quite inconsiderate to others and the places. Crossed over to look at the summer palace of the Habsburgs (of Česky Krümlov and Vienna fame) but there looked to be a photo shoot happening of the local fire brigade. Managed to get one photo in before they parked their trucks in front of the building. Even though the town is fairly small (about 13 000) it is easy to get disoriented as what look to ...

We visited the "man" and "women" island. Before we entered the palace with the timed guided tour, we visited Konig Ludwig II Museum. It was actually very nice, especially we knew something about his life after visiting the famed Newschwanstein. The museum had many pictures and even Ludwig II's death mask and photo. ...
