    ... Chapel (Beinhaus en Michaelschapel):
Since the 1200's exhumed human bones have been moved from the grave graveyard to be displayed in the Bone House in the Gothic Michael's Chapel. Why is this? It was mainly because the lack of land didn't let the graveyard expand for new deaths and cremation was

... the town we're staying in and it was a really beautiful place with lots of neat looking rock and tons of clear running water. It was a pretty hike that took an hour or two and there was a waterfall at the end of it. We took lots of pictures there!

We went back to the middle station had a coffee, and Sascha Tort, a delicious chocolate cake, which after all this walking ( no breakfast/ lunch) I was not going to say no. We then contemplated the long walk back. We we got down to the bottom, looked at the bus timetable which ...

A very wet and foggy morning! Not a good start as the photos show, still we walked the half hour along the lake from Obertraun to Hallstatt station. It is a lovely walk even when it is drizzling, we passed several people with dogs and bikes along this path. Once you reach the station it is a very short walk to the ferry, this is the way you get to the old town of Hallstatt. This area has been inhabited for over 7,000 years. The salt mine made the town of ...
