Shhh we are in Austria. The loudest noise is the cuckoo birds (that don't go on the hour by the way). Austrians are so well behaved and well mannered. The drivers are considerate, stop for pedestrians, never speed, pull over if there is not enough room. Unlike the Italian where it is a competition for who has the biggest vehicle or balls! Every square cm is so organized, even men, the men wearing their leather pants and funny little hats are immaculate.

... winding footpath. No time to stop and view the cloud obscured view, but made it with 4 mins to spare. They have seats on the way, I guess you are supposed to enjoy the walk up. The ice cave has spectacular ice formations, up to 9 meters high ice towers. It was amazing, we went first deep into the lowest part then climbed, up a zillion stairs to the different levels of the ice cave. The cave had a frozen river which at one point we not only walked across but climbed ...

( other Chinese guests were also amazed by what was happening, as was the Indian, American and German ) eventually it was all sorted out, but them came ordering the meal and again it became a comedy as they ...

... and magazines and a clean WC. As we have learnt you can board the train early and this time we did not book a seat. we sat in a grouping of four which enabled us to have our bags with us and not have to put it up above us. ( no one needed the seats.) we went through a very long tunnel just after leaving Vienna, we were traveling at high speed for at least 4-5 mins. After exiting the tunnel there are high embankments or walls and just over these peep the fooling country side ...

    On the Zeller See

... Maj Dick Winters swam in the Zeller every morning and the scenes from the show looked so incredible I just had to visit. Fast forward 12 years from that series and there we were. On the shores of an amazing lake surrounded by green hills and snow topped peaks. It is a truly beautiful scene that in winter is frequented by numerous skiing and snowboard enthusiasts and in summer by swimmers and hikers. The Zeller See is among the cleanest lakes in Europe and is filled ...
