    At the top , you could see down the valley, and behind us the snow caps of the mountains. At this time of year, you wouldn't expect any snow hanging around before fresh snow will arrive late next month!

    ... Liam and Isobel to bed. Mind you I'm sitting outside looking and the sun setting on the mountains. Tomorrow we are taking a huge cable car ride to a place called Mannlichen and we will get there from a town called Grindlewald, which promises to be another amazing village.     ... hotel is on the French side of the border. The hotel prices were very expensive on the Swiss side. The hotel is a bit daggy on the outside, however the inside was clean and had new carpet. The room was tiny and the bathroom was one cubicle shower/toilet. Greg had cans of beer that were not cold so he stuck them outside on the window sill to get cold.
