... which we got to by cable car. From here we had views to the lakes below and mountains beyond and enjoyed a nice lunch with a goodly amount of vegetables - something we have been missing so much. We also took a bus trip part way around one of the lakes to enjoy the beautiful scenery. ... hotel is on the French side of the border. The hotel prices were very expensive on the Swiss side. The hotel is a bit daggy on the outside, however the inside was clean and had new carpet. The room was tiny and the bathroom was one cubicle shower/toilet. Greg had cans of beer that were not cold so he stuck them outside on the window sill to get cold. Catch Up; been a few days and have been to Florence, Rome and Venice and now on way to Munich, passing through t.he Dolomites at present on an 8 hour journey to next port of call. From there, we got on a train that started going further up to a smaller town, only accessible by train, called Kleine Scheindegg.
