... Venice. We did the Murano Glass tour yesterday - a mixture of OTT gross and (some) modern and lovely. St Marks Square was so lovely as the crowds weren't ugly like last time - the pigeons are still in droves! Every meal has been divine and we've managed to keep our gelato intake to one! It was dry today but yesterday when we went through it had water over a good quarter of the square. It was time to get some lunch and so we popped into a pizzeria and order some pizza and pasta. They made a nice carbonara however I ate it wrong. Pasta in Italy ...

... Della Salute and hung out there for about an hour. It’s a Catholic church that stands at one end of the Grand Canal. Sitting on its steps affords you one of the best views of the Grand Canal and in all of Venice for that matter. (Jay and I also found the steps of the church the perfect place to change Giacomo’s diaper.)

We got back on the vaporetto to freshen up at the hotel ...
