    Van Gogh Bike Path!

    ... for cars (on my bike)! That was the scariest thing that has happened on this trip so far. Eventually the night came and I saw the wonder that is the Van Gogh bike path, a regular concrete path embedded with stones that harness energy from the sun and one solar panel set at the beginning of the path, which then glow as the sun sets in the famous pattern. It is truly extraordinary in the dark, and I am so glad I waited several hours at the bike path to see it in the dark. ...

    ... public transport in the morning on Sunday's. So after a lot of problem solving, and luck, we have decided to stay in Eindhoven (right next to the airport) and take a concert shuttle bus that takes us to and from the concert from Eindhoven. We really lucked out. The only negative is that the bus gets to the concert when the gate opens at 2:30, and Mumford gets on at 8:30. So we are supposed to hang out in 100 degree weather for 6 hours. Then the bus takes us home ...

    I arrived in Eindhoven late yesterday, my friend James is putting me up for a couple of nights. He's a true gent and even gave me his mattress and breakfast cereal. His lab has an inert atmosphere fume hood designed for a man with three arms, great photo. Holland has double decker bike racks and double decker trains, and the locals use them with great enthusiasm. The food is great and the beer too.
