Hot, hot, hot!

A travel blog entry by bulaska

Puerto Escondido is hot. It's really hot, like 32 degrees in December... We came here from Oaxaca by a small van. The journey takes about 6 hours and costs 180 MXN. It's a road that leads through the mountains so there are a lot of curves, nothing for people who get sick easily.

Once in Puerto Escondido, I was really tired as the temperature here is really high, especially for this time of the year. Our hostel isn't in the town center, but as everything is quite small ...

This is a top pick!

... saw colors in the water and just went for it. That night we got our laundry back when we walked back into the hotel, luckily I'm not too worried about my cheap white t shirts because they came back a light blue/grey color from obviously being washed in hot water with the other black clothing, we had a laugh about it and was glad it was nothing we really liked, like bobbies newest white top with a tiger face on it she brought. This is where my Kindle really came into its own… was ...

Water water everywhere....

... we motored around for awhile waiting for the sailboat boat to fill up. 45 minutes later (they filled their water too!) they left and a large power boat pulled in. Of course Juan the attendant waved them in ahead of us as. Another hour puttering around in circles until a 60 foot sailboat meandered in line and of course they were waved in ahead of us.

We've never been enamoured with Puerto Escondido. The first time ...
