... goes and goes out. Every wave is different. Every day the waves change. Some days the waves are big and fierce. Some days they are small and soft. Some days they are somewhere in between. I found peace in learning how to ride these waves. Because when I would fight the current it would drain me of energy, just as in life if I fight the moment I am in I will only find stress and discomfort. Puerto Escondido is hot. It's really hot, like 32 degrees in December... We came here from Oaxaca by a small van. The journey takes about 6 hours and costs 180 MXN. It's a road that leads through the mountains so there are a lot of curves, nothing for people who get sick easily.

We had another nice dinner in ...

It was quite a ride from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido. It was 170 miles with the first 50 miles only taking an hour, flying through little towns on a fairly nice road. The next 120 took 6 hours and if you google maps Look up Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido and you will see why! The road quality gets poor and the turns and mountains get extreme. It is literary a case of racing up one side going down the other and repeating ...

... in a corner, with my hoodie up and my ipod on and managed a couple of hours.

We arrived around 9.30am on Saturday morning and headed straight for the beach as we could not get into rooms until about midday. The hotel had a stretch of private beach across the road and through its beach side restaurant which was where most of us had some breakfast before hitting the sun loungers arranged on the beach. This is where my Kindle really came into its own… was ...
