... farmers fields and a giant park. Eventually we circled back to Amsterdam and its traffic and relinquished Graham Norton and Frozone, our faithful bikes. Tired but happy we stumbled around Dam Square and wandered towards the Library which was beautiful, modern, large and air conditioned. The top floor cafe was delicious and offered sweet views. Because of this we couldn't really experience the true beauty of the city and ended up just eating and window shopping. Though I do have to say the night was beautifully warm and the canals romantically lit which did give us a glimpse of how wonderful this city really is. Delft We really were blessed with gorgeous weather ...

... English commentary covered all of the main highlights you would expect on such a tour including a historical overview of the city, architecture, and major landmarks. This was unfortunately lost on both kids as they slept through the entire experience. A couple of hours later, we disembarked and found a quiet little Dutch restaurant on a street corner to have lunch.

Our rooms were ready for us when we got back to the Hotel Victoria and, ...
