... fun. The next morning we were up and ready to check out. We headed to a market for the day in the city and I tried the famous stroop waffle that Holland is known for. It's two thin waffles with a layer of caramel syrup in the middle. The market was filled with food, bags, souvenirs, clothes, and everything in between. ... heading to Germany. Rhine valley... Day 4 and I am finally over my jet lag however am burnt to a crisp from yesterday, yes I forgot to get my sunscreen off the bus and have ankles the size of balloons! A good combination for a 5 hour trip from Amsterdam to the Rhine valley in Germany. ... and long to see a model one. Perhaps the Dutch are different. We had an hour at Madurodam, but I could only bear the cold for a half hour, so I retreated to shelter in the souvenir store while waiting for the bus to return.

We got back to Amsterdam just after 8pm - ironically the sun had come out. I walked back to my hotel to defrost and then started writing this, but it got late and I got tired....
