... it started to get dark there. We are not accustomed to these short days. The sun is usually up between 8 and 8:30am and by 4:30pm it’s already getting dark. Ignoring the typical grey sky of a North German autumn we headed out to the spectacular town of Monschau which was established about 1000 years ago. On the way we passed through Holland and Belgium to reach this small German town, an experience that is incomprehensible to an Australian mindset.

To and Huget both had to go to work, so we had a slow start and then drove to Holland! Maastricht, home of André Rieu!
