A full day travelling by bus then 2 trains to see lots of snow, lovely scenery and travel literally through a mountain to arrive at the highest station in Europe at 3454 m.

Finally into Interlaken and its time to re-fill the tank. Somehow I have managed 175 miles since my last stop.
Tank filled and its off up the nice twisty road to Lauterbrunnen which lays right in the shadow of the wonderful Jungfrau peaks which are over 4000m high.
As I pull into the town I notice a sign saying "Hotel Open"and so that's where I'm staying tonight.

... church bells ding dong their exceptional song right on cue, cows and goats moo in unison (I dunno what goats do but it isn't going to translate into text here), and the lake beckons for an early morning swim.

... another idyllic mountain town. Arriving just before lunch time we were met with a ghost town, most shops were closed or closely and there were very few people about on the streets, even the big construction site in the middle of the town was workerless. It soon became apparent that Grindelwald has a siesta at lunch times for about 2 hours.
