We're heading to Aosta in the Italian Alps for 10 days then a couple of weeks in Val Ferret, Switzerland then loafing somewhere else in the mountains til the end of July. We had a great day sailing on Anne and Axel's boat. Neither of us had ever sailed before. From Lake Konstanz you can see Switzerland, Germany and Austria at once. Pretty amazing. Anne and Axel also showed us around the old part of Konstanz which has buildings from the 1300s. Ruins have been found from as early as 400 A.D. So crazy. The town avoided bombs ...

We leave Liechtenstein tomorrow for Switzerland so prices will remain high but it will mostly be a day of travel so with our final eurail trip it should be an inexpensive day. Our next entry won't be until Singapore since we will have little to report from our time in airports and planes. ...

... And the room has been designed for the view which means lounging in a chair, feet on the bed, glass in hand and enjoying it. A long days travel had seen us pass through sensational Austrian scenery, small villages with steep church steeples, luscious farmland narrow running the mountainsides, innumerable buildings that blend that dark wood with white walls and pitched tile roofs and fast flowing rivers which look absolutely freezing with fast flowing Rapids. ... and headed back to walk around town. The climb to the castle was pretty intense, after a beer, we both were ready to head out. Getting late and we still had to stop and pick up dinner. :-)

Headed off to Heathrow airport in the morning and will be headed home on Sunday.
