It took off an hour late (again due to the strike) so we had 45 minutes in Cairo to catch our connecting flight but managed it (just) and slept most of the 8 hour flight to Johannesburg. ... others have actual beaches but the buildings look the same with the pastel colours and shutters. The walk from Manarola was hard. We walked into the hills up uneven stone paths, through vineyards perched precariously on the slopes. It was hot and the sun was bitey.
