    ... there was the most amazing view of the town below. Once we arrived in Portovenere we found a cute little cafe over looking the water and I ordered a pesto and mozzarella focaccia (pesto is very popular here). We then walked up some side streets and visited an exhibition of local photos of the town then walked past a pesto shop with free samples. It was amazing.     ... sacrilegious, we know), we have found a place for later where we can enjoy the sunset and finally have some real pizza.

    We complete our MACS Adventures tomorrow after breakfast and then we are on our own itinerary again. Tomorrow is a travel day up to Lucca, where we will stay for one night until we return to Rome to begin Our Italian Holiday Part II with Mom!

    ... made it to Monterossa but we were feeling absolutely washed out (sea sick).

    Lunch would help with the nausea feeling so headed up the street to find somthing to settle our stomachs. We had seen people eating seafood that looked different so took advantage of the local fresh seafood and ordered. It was fine and helped settle the stomach along with a Coke.     ... of Portovenne. A UNESCO WORLD Heritage site. We wandered through the back cobblestone streets checking out the shops, restaurants and buildings dating back to the 1100s including St Peter and San Lorenzo churches.
