Abstecher nach Uruguay
Hallo zusammen! Entgegen den urspruenglichen Plaenen haben wir uns entschieden noch einen Abstecher nach Uruguay zu machen. Und so haben wir heute morgen die Faehre von Buenos Aires nach Colonia del Sacramento genommen. Heute Nachmittag gehts dann im Bus weiter nach Montevideo und morgen nach Tacuarembo (im Norden Uruguays), wo wir einige Tage auf einer Ranch verbringen werden. Also Reiten, Schafe scheren etc. :-)

... där. Efter ett par timmar konstaterade vi att det faktiskt inte fanns så mycket mer att se och vi parkerade oss på en trevlig uteservering i solen istället. Stranded in Uraguay
... we were finally put on a bus for a 3 hour trip North to the capital..Montevideo, Arriving at 2230hrs.. We are staying at the Raddison.. Tomorrow we have a 5 am wakeup for a 6am departure. .. Hopefully my shoes will dry a bit. I dried my socks at the boat place under the hand dryer in the Washrooms.. One of the ladies took her trousers off and stood in her undies while she dried her pants.. Lol, hopefully the weather will ease off tomorrow so ...
UNESCO World Site?

I guess having visited several historic centers on the UNESCO list such as Bruges, Quebec, Prague and Cesky Krumlov, my expectations were on the high side compared to others. Colonia
... on the Rio de la Plata just across from Buenos Aires lasted not very long despite the 40 kts Headwind.
Colonia is an International Airport but uncontrolled , very unique , not much Traffic, but still have a Lady at the C bureau which has to collect the Fee's and wait for the gew Airplanes that Land here. Parked and soon was enjoying the Nice sunny but windy weather riding into the Historic City of Colonia.
I first tought I leave the Airplane here and just take the Ferry ...
