    ... a campsite in Portoroso. But on heading there, the sat nav in the car decided to die and left us flailing for directions on a Slovenian motorway.     ... of St George and up the bell tower. There were 146 rickety steps. Tiffany assured me that they looked fairly new and would have been checked before allowing tourists on them. However the ticket lady said that they were the original steps from several hundred years ago. Luckily I found that out when we were back at the bottom!
    The day was completed with a beautiful sunset and a walk around the sea listening to music including a choir group singing acapela at a restaurant.

    ... which spent 2 days in the harbour. No amount of zooming in with the camera helped us to identify who they were, although we did see one disembark with body guards we didn't recognise him at all.
