... terminal and I pull over into the car park and try to
work out what this is all about and how it works. As I sat here in the car park
one train departed with about 100 cars on board and their passengers sitting
    inside them.

idea was if its anything like British Railways charge for tickets then they can
keep their train trip and I will just head back down the pass and head for
France. However the price was only a very good 19 Swiss Franks and so i paid ...

Saturday the group left the French Riviera via the autoban, splitting up in Aix en Provence. Dave and Janet took to the country roads on a nice ride through the Luberon despite threatening clouds, overnighting in Gap after visiting Lourmain, Apt and Sisteron along the way.

The following day they headed for the higher elevations, with alternating sunny and cloudy skies, over several more passes on the way to Grenoble. Road closures and a 15km ...

Bless her heart, when I said that we didn't know what we were up to, she was quick to quip - "I'll just do whatever you do!" with a huge smile on her face. Sigh…I love my cousin.

That morning, Angela made coffee for us (she didn't even need to read ...

It was like going to the Stampede. People lining up in throngs under the heat of the sun, kids in tow, ready to willingly hand over gobs and gobs of money to be rewarded with rides, theme parks and full family excitement, even shows, to then get hungry causing you to – yup you guessed it – consume food that costs even more. On Tuesday, we headed to the famous "Aquaparc" – a water slide/ multiple splash park/pool, lake extravaganza. For ...

Switzerland depends on tourism in part to fuel it's economic engine. Le Bouveret is a clear sign that it is working.

The morning we got up - the weather was absolutely brilliant! We really couldn't believe our luck as we had been told - over and over in fact, that the weather in Switzerland was so horrible this summer. Even the owner of the apartment, in his well checked emails to us making sure that we found and had everything that we needed, he too ...
