Hotel Bellevue St-Raphaël

It is Sunday and very wet and miserable here in Antibes. Quite a change from the glorious day we had yesterday. Ideal for computer work in fact... (Except that then things didn't pan out as planned and it is now Monday)

Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...

... but seriously....not so pretty madame....we also passed blois and another castle that i forget the name of, in the van.

all in all castle day was just about one of the most amazing days ever i still cant believe that buildings like that are even real. just insane.

alright im sorry for how long this is....and if you actually managed to read it, you must love me a lot or something...?

Got to St Raphael and stayed at gogeous beach with more boats and cliffs for the day. Ice had ,melted and local bar on beach gave me huge bag of ice(a rarity here) but he was afraid all our local goods would ...

... Deze keer wel de canyon volledig tot beneden gedaan in plaats van eerder te stoppen zoals vorig jaar. Maar hebben dan nu ook geen rugzak onderweg vergeten!

Dit was verder ook onze laatste canyon van de week en na vandaag zullen we weer een heel tijdje geduld mogen uitoefenen om nog eens een canyon in te duiken!

Na een goeie canyondag gisteren, gaan we vandaag weer op stap met Gertjan en Kim.

Het bovenste deel van de Cagne is een mooie uitdaging. Wel zorgen dat we er op tijd uit zijn, want iets te ver doorwandelen in de canyon en we zitten voor nog eens extra 5 uren vast in deze canyon waarbij het laatste deel ook niet echt meer uitdagend of de moeite is.

As filling as this meal was, we all still managed to fit in gelato before heading home for an early night. The gelato here leaves the ones in Paris for dead!!! Thoughts about going to Monaco for the day tomorrow were put on hold as we realised that there was still so much to do in Nice, thus, we will stay here for our last day in France. We have concluded that we will have to come back ...
