Amusing little scene this morning as we sat eating our breakfast at about 8:30.

A "council" pickup truck arrived, towing an industrial shredder.

    Three workmen emerged.

First, they asked the lone German lady campervaner to move her van, they clearly planned to trim the trees behind her van.

I expected this to be the end of peace and quiet, chain saws, hedge trimmers, not to mention the ...

... town where all the restaurants and shops are located. We drove back into town for dinner at Aux Pieds Dans L'eau, a restaurant literally on the sand. I had a great fish stew with salmon, smoked haddock, tons of mussels and some shrimps. Doug had a pepper steak. Both were very good. The sun was just setting as we were walking back to the van and, since it was such a clear evening, we stopped to watch for the green flash. Voila - we saw it!

Bright and sunny, but, with a brisk wind from the north, not very warm, only 16C.

    Kathleen is off to church.

After three months of heavy relaxation, we decide to spend the day, taking it easy!
