As we waited for our next train at Interlaken to take us up the mountain valley to Lauterbrunnen, it too was delayed. Now we were only looking at 30 minutes on the top! With one more stop at Kleine Scheidegg half way up the mountain it was already 5:00. By the time we did finally reach the top we only had about 20 minutes to enjoy the facilities and the view.

Our rooms had balconies overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley (the valley of 72 waterfalls - really!) with the most unbelievable views of the mountains and their waterfalls. It had rained for a week before we got there but for the three days and nights we were there, it was sunny and clear, and impossibly beautiful, with wildflowers everywhere.

... I took the bus back to our unit to find that I forgot to pack the nail polish that I had bought. Was not about to go all the way back up just for that. Daniella and I had a nice cheese fondue for supper before settling in for the night. We have exactly 4 TV channels 3 of them that are worth nothing to us as we can't understand French ,Italian or Swiss and the only one left is German but some nondescript channel ...
