Today we left Venice right after a hearty breakfast of bun. About a 45 fast walk carrying our super heavy backpacks to the bus tram that takes us to the bus depot. I was quite tired and slept a while during the 2 hour bus ride to Grotta Gigante. This is the largest cave in the world. There's no way to capture the enormity in pictures. It's like the caves in the lord of the rings where the goblins come from. Too deep. Full ...

Back on the A10 the weather is starting to improve, Hooray. We left the motorway at Villach to decide where. to spend the night. We decided to drive to Lake Bohinj about 1 hour. Satnav set and we ...

The spa at Ptuj was a busy water park not a relaxing spa, and we made a hasty departure. The town did however provide a chance to stretch our legs and have lunch, and like every town we visited Ptuj had an Aldi, or Hofer as they call it in Slovenia, which was where ...

A travel blog entry by hudomagerstein on Sep 22, 2013

Woke up early and skyped Grandma and Grandpa with Steven, Megan and Oli. After that we skyped mum and dad. We then went into town and had a coffee on the river (literally) and then had some lunch. After this we took Oli home to bed, and Megan and I went shopping. After this we came home and chilled out. Then Steven and I met rob and briggsy in town and we watched the EuroBasket final. We ended up going to a bar and met Tony Parker, Ricky Rubio and Nicholas Batum. Somehow got home and ...
