Arrived Santorini 3.30pm. Arrival into this lovely island is beautiful. Santorini itself perched on the rim of the cliffs all the white washed buildings looking like snow from a distance. The island is the remains of a volcano and the port the crater lake so a spectacular sail in. 2 large 4 masted ships in also. Tendered ashore and the queues for the lift to the town were formidable. ...

... am looking at postcards and the more I like the result the more I want to take.

Throughout the trip we come across pine, carob, cypress, and many olive trees found on rocky slopes, we see caves of different size on a higher level, more olive groves closer to the village as we approach. It seems that the villagers have their own produce of virgin olive oil.
The village has a population of 1.300 citizens and it is an inland ...

... sure I saw Mount Etna fuming again but I never confirmed with anyone. Now to some fun...I was made the guinea pig for the new water tube my captain bought for the grandkids. The ‘Base Kicker’ as it is known was the most fun I have had in a while! I can’t even remember the last time I went tubing but this brought all those good old memories flooding back. And one of the memories I had to giggle at was when my pops cracked his ribs after coming off a tube ...
