... as the rocks fit so perfectly together without the use of any mortar, unlike 99% of the rest of the walls.

Shortlly down the road from the Mycanae site was the Mycanean tomb of Agamemnon. Plundered in ancient times, nothing was ever found beyond the tomb itself. Still some amazing architecture – massive walls leading to a vaulted dome ceiling.

... am looking at postcards and the more I like the result the more I want to take.

Throughout the trip we come across pine, carob, cypress, and many olive trees found on rocky slopes, we see caves of different size on a higher level, more olive groves closer to the village as we approach. It seems that the villagers have their own produce of virgin olive oil.
