We leave the ship on a tender, with a short, calm ride to the shore. Our bus, no pretentious coaches in Greece, take us the Corinth Canal. This canal, built between 1881 & 1893 is 4 miles long, cuts through the Isthmus of Corinth and connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea.

We toured the ancient city that contributed to the development of Classic Greek culture and is linked to Homer's epic Iliad and The Odyssey. We visit ...

Nothing can describe seeing in person what you've studied in school for years. It was so interesting to see the remains of columns and rooms. We also got to go INSIDE ...

Today we set off at 8am for the ancient city of Epidauros and to see the most intact ancient amphitheatre. Our guide Emilio explained the history behind the Asklepios healing sanctuary compound where it is located. The theatre is still in use in the summer months with up to 8 performances held each year. We were able to walk inside the structure and I climbed to the very back of the theatre. I had an overwhelming urge to get down in ...
