Check in was a breeze at LAS with PreCheck. Bought a sandwich for lunch on the plane and some mini Cinnabons for breakfast. Our 9 AM flight for Philadelphia took off on time. We took advantage of priority boarding which was nice since we carried on our luggage. Arrived in Philly at 5 PM (a little late). Boarded our Munich flight at 6 PM and took …

Steve and I have been given incredible opportunities in our lives to learn and explore this crazy world, including places like Dachau, we could not be more thankful. We are thankful for: freedom, family & friends, German sausage & beer halls, travelling, each other, crazy King Ludwig, ...

... We really wanted to see the area near Chiemsee, which is to the east of us and is supposedly a beautiful lake with another of Ludwig's castles on an island in the middle. We'll have to drive there and get a ferry to the island, but since tomorrow is Saturday, the rental car offices at the Hauptbahnhof are completely sold out of cars! Oh well, time to improvise - we found a car available at the Hertz location at the Hauptbahnhof in ...
