... Mont Blanc which I believe is about 4,800 metres. The town of Chamonix is at the base of it and is a major ski village in winter, and a base for hikers, mountain bikers and tourists in summer. We got there late one afternoon and planned the next day for me to go up the Auguille du Midi cable car to see Mont Blanc up close and for Phillip to go for a ride up some of the smaller peaks in the area. The next morning we woke to heavy rain which ...

Then I realized the logo was just a sticker. Not so exciting. Thus, I leave with only a pressed nickel, for which I overpaid. C'est la vie.

We arrived to a light drizzly rain and set off down the wrong path at speed! Lisa says it was the most exhilarating ride of ...

... it might have something to do with being closer to God. Obviously build at a time when parishioner convenience was not a priority for most of these churches would have taken enormous effort to reach and a packed lunch.

We arrived in Chur to lots of street activity in the old town - it was the annual Chur Busker's Festival - 16 stages (or locations) throughout the village each doing a 90 minute set on rotation. Amongst them musicians, ...

... it's not! I must admit the image quality is terrific - sharp edges and crisp colours, oh and the photographer is pretty good as well! The ferry trip to Walenstadt was delightful though our tandem didn't fit in the designated bike area and was constantly being juggled as it blocked the toilets and gangways concurrently. On arrival in Walenstadt we were greeted by a scene not oft had back home - the sight of a naked silver haired elderly woman sun bathing (baking) adjacent to the ...
