      ... glass blowing it was very interesting to see how they did it, I would have liked to know abit more on the glass it's self - where did they get it from and watch them making the different colours. Bridget and I purchased far too much glass now I have to cart it around for the next two weeks trying not to break it. I have a feeling that it is a futile attempt. The next island on the tour didn't have much to look at just some churches, the last was famous for lace but ...

      ... your train or destination. Your train ticket has no information on it neither does the train. Even in the first class cabin there is no sign indicating which stop you are approaching. So were a little relieved we had not gone 200 mph in the wrong direction. Pretty exciting when you pass an opposing train!

      Big day out & fun but so nice to get home to our peaceful villa after all the crowds.

      ... around Venice, trying not to be charged for things that were scams (aka "The Tourist Tax").

      Later in the day, we took a Gondola ride around a small section of Venice. It's a cool idea in theory but a little lackluster in practice.

      The evening ended with a 4 course Venetian meal that tasted delicious, if a little overfilling.
