    ... had picked up a bug during the night and wasn’t feeling 100%......possibly a bit of food poisoning or a virus but she recovered quickly.

    A good choice of restaurant in the evening via a traghetto ride (Rachel careful to order lightly….not easy in Italy and the “soup” really wasn’t light at all).

    Parts of Venice are dedicated to Marco Polo a local Venetian. On the houses, the window style depict which century they were made in, it's quite amazing.

    Those tunnels tested our lung capacity. Dan was crowned winner of the Dolomites lung buster challenge.

    After that we wandered though the park and looked at a number of exhibits for the Biannale. Some of them were really good. As we walked along Maddy was on a mission to find some souvenirs. She spent most of the afternoon looking for something specific and eventually found it, but not before we had our last gelato in Italy. Yum!

    ... at the tourist town of Split, Croatia. Split differs slightly from Korcula in that there are a smattering of more recent buildings which don't conform to the general appearance of the town. There's a sprawling touristy waterfront nicely landscaped in a modern design with plenty of seating - something lacking in this part of the world where the only seating is at an outdoor restaurant and you are obliged to buy a coffee, which has a surcharge of €0.50 for the seat. ...
