        ... I was a bit confused by the immigration form as it seemed to be for both Belarus and the Russian Federation, but I needed separate visas for each so which details was I supposed to use? There were a few stern words from the border police and certainly no smiles. At one point we were firmly ordered to leave the cabin but it turned out they just wanted to check under the seats and after that we were all allowed into Belarus.

        ... was in Warsaw - I found my way back to the station and onto the train bound for Moscow. It is a Russian train!

        My compartment friends are both Russian ladies, one of whom speaks no English at all but doesn't let that stop her, and the other who speaks good enough English to communicate. We're getting along nicely. ...

I end up in a dead end outside a meat processing factory, wet cold and for once completely lost...My waterproof map no longer waterproof but falling to pieces, has lost it's usability, so I go in hoping someone will speak enough English to direct me to the border. Inside security doesn't speak English then suddenly a young women directs me into an office full of several people who between them and myself could have ...

        ... for spending half the day getting lost.......
        But you can't really, they only have two kinds of roads, two lane motorways that are Tolllroads and single lane roads. Everything else is dirt.....
        So even staying off the motorways I still made good time on roads that are really well maintained and very light traffic wise.

        After leaving he hotel I spent 30 minutes going round in circles....al the road signs ...
