From Lake Constance to the mountains of Switzerland- incredible train ride on the Bernina express to Pontresina in Graubunden in the Engadine. Snow, mountains, below freezing winds and a trek to the Morteratsch glacier ( in our all purpose travel outfits) and an even more amazing train ride to Tirano, Italy were included in our brief sojourn to ...

... mountain we went, there were low clouds and light rain. When it got to 2.5 degrees and it started to snow we decided a steep drive up a windy, slick road in the snow wasn't the greatest idea and headed back down. Saw some really cool things along the way, like guys with big kite sails like they use on the Estuary, but with snow boards, cross country & down hill skiers, and footprints a million miles from anywhere on ...

... resort as before I had only skied in the French and Austrian resorts such as Val Thorens, Val'disere, Tignes, Meribel and Sölden.

What's the difference between them? Well, in Livigno there were more Italians (obviously) and as I am learning Italian it was helpful to listen in the conversations and try to figure out what they were saying. There were more Czechs, Germans and Poles there too which was a change ...

It's raining this morning, so the temperature is higher. We started the day with a couple of blogs. On the lake there are a group of ducks, we took a few photos. We then drove into Gravedonna to buy a couple of essentials, just getting to the shops before they closed. Then we set off for the border with Switzerland. It wasn't long before we stopped to fill with diesel, checking with the cashier first that it had additive in it to protect ...
