    ... ordered but it was so tasty we couldn't stop (obviously). We had the equivalent of a whole chicken, arepitas and yuca (which is delicious despite its appearance) and ate till it was dangerous.     Seventeen hour overnight coach from Mérida to Caracas! But it was comfortable - we both slept on seats that recline to almost flat, and then woke on Monday morning and watched the cars go by in slow traffic for forty miles. After that, we couldn´t get phones working to let Brenda know we´d arrived, until a passing Canadian took pity on us and led us to an internet and phone-call shop, and soon we were in Brenda´s flat, showered and semi-fresh again!

    ... 15 min later he finally pulled up to the correct hotel. Whew!!! Safe at last.

    Since then it has just been work, work, and work. Although I think tomorrow the work should level off and it will become more manageable. At least this time I shouldn't be working over the weekend, and will have time to enjoy a city tour with my co workers from the US. So until the next time..Adios. ...

    ... station was incredibly far, we walked along with our huge packs on our backs and received many curious stares. It was clear backpackers don't bother to venture into the heart of Caracas much. We stopped for a delicious lunch of arepa sandwiches. Arepa's are a round cake-like fried bread made with ground corn that is moist and delicious in Venezuela (much better than the version in Colombia, which is small, hard and dry.)
